We are excited to announce the first in a round of recruitment for ART Butterfly Volunteer Coordinators.
Our teams of Butterfly Volunteers visit patients in hospital who are in the last weeks, days and sometimes hours of their life. They provide companionship and a hand to hold. They support families as they face the imminent death of a loved one.
First to advertise the opportunity is Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – with our Patron, Prof Nancy Fontaine at the helm as Chief Nurse. Here is a link to the recruitment page. NB This post is now filled.
We are a supportive, friendly team working to expand an innovative, impactful scheme. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference to hundreds of people in their day to day work, not only patients, but their families and carers, NHS Staff and the volunteers themselves. If you know anyone who would suit this role – please do encourage them to apply.
We will be recruiting a team of Butterfly Volunteers at NNUH in early 2019 – do keep an eye out for our Newsletter with information about when recruiting is open, and how to apply. Subscribe to it here!
