An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a small, but rapidly growing charity working in the healthcare sector.
The Anne Robson Trust has been set up to address the fact that hundreds of people are dying in hospitals with no one to support them, or sit with them in their final days. ART works in partnership with NHS Trusts to help them set up teams of Butterfly Volunteers. These volunteers provide countless hours of support to dying patients, and to their families.
Working alongside Director Liz Pryor, the successful candidate will provide daily office support to the wider team, and oversee the management of work with our partner hospitals. Trusts we are currently working with are:
- The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow (Pilot site & Centre of Excellence for Coordinator Training)
- The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Norwich
- East Suffolk & North Essex Foundation Trust – at both Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals
- James Paget University Hospital, Great Yarmouth
Our next Hospital partner will be Milton Keynes University Hospital, and we have a list of 28 further Trusts who have expressed an interest in working with us.
The role of PA / Office Manager is currently part time, with a view to becoming full time in 2020. The role will be predominantly home based, with some work undertaken at the ART office just outside Stevenage. Our plan is to move to a local central office at some point in 2020, at which point the role will be office based.
